Today JA Eswatini officially launched the inaugural JA Alumni Start-Up Awards in partnership with the Taiwan Embassy; Swaziland Building Society and IRDM -College- Eswatini. The JA Alumni Youth Start-Up Awards recognize and celebrate outstanding young entrepreneurs who have successfully launched and grown businesses after participating in JA’s in-school and out-of-school entrepreneurship programs.

The winners will be announced at a prestigious awards ceremony to be held on the 17th of May 2024.

The awards have 15 categories that are open for nomination as of today until the 10th of April 2024. The 15 categories have different prizes where sponsored by partners. The JA Alumni Start-Up of The Year award sponsored by the Taiwan Embassy has a E15 000,00 flight ticket and accommodation to Portugal to attend the JA Worldwide Alumni Summit and a trophy with a framed certificate.

Officially launching the awards was the Minister of Commerce; Industry and Trade representative Mluleki Dlamini who pledged continued government support to all JA Eswatini programs and initiatives. Also present was Taiwan Ambassador Representative Nassim who supports JA through the Ministry of Economic Planning and Development. Swaziland Building Society was represented by Manager Marketing Veli Dlamini who said the SBS brand supported entrepreneurship ad thus were looking forward to growing Eswatini’s future leaders in business.
